Plaza de Artesanias

Plaza de Artesanias was one of the first plazas in all of Guadalajara. Built in 1971, la Plaza is home to a number of different styles of shops, selling everything from tequila and fortified wines to hand crafted blouses, dresses and silverware.

There are 11 shops in the first patio of the plaza that opens up to a restaurant in the back.

Besides the apartments themselves, the Plaza de Artesanías (one of the oldest shopping plazas in the city) includes stores selling jewelry, clothing, tequila and leather items,

It is also the home of La Mata Tinta, a restaurant and art gallery popular in the evenings for its live music. (If you need to rest after a long day, you may want to stop in the restaurant to get a meal or a snack for carry-out to your apartment.)

La Mata Tinta

La Mata Tinta, founded in 2005, has a relaxed, chilled out feeling that is open from 9am until 11pm. Live music in the form of jazz, blues and acoustic guitar is available most evenings.
